Sunken Firepit

The Conversation Space in this Sunken Firepit design was a challenge in itself; to balance the architecture of this amazing house, compliment the landscapes around it that were being improved, and use a material palette that wouldn't be overwhelming.

The design itself came out beautifully, and as the client's and I would agree, the space itself is the right mix of form and function, design and use. It continues to be a well loved space integrating the sun, the rain, the wind and warmth in and out. Art, designed for use.
