Urban Retreat

A kiwi classic with a modernist touch, the north of Auckland was a delight to work in. The new urban sprawl that is ever expanding up there really gave us a run for our money on how to fit EVERYTHING the New Zealand based families might want, and in this case an especially active family!

This space encapsulates the dream of a beautiful summers day, with lawns for the dog and children to play in, planting to invoke memories of Balinese holidays, a pool to keep the long hot days cooler, and inverse a spa to keep the long cold night hot! I had a sincere pleasure working with them and their beautiful dog to make a memorable space for years to come!
